We’ve continued to have a lot of fun with the SX-70 and Spirit 600 from our last post on instant photography. We also got a Polaroid 100 Land Camera, which produces peel-apart instant photos. With only a few packs of film through it, I can’t really evaluate its merit as an artistic medium, but my goodness is it ever fun.
Compare with the other instant photography method. I like them both. Something about ISO 3000 film just seems so cool.
So we take a lot of photos of our cats. And I take a lot of photos of Ashley.
Not many photos exist of me at all – I like to be behind the camera more than in front of it.
Still getting used to the methodology of “developing” these. I’ve been getting some colour and exposure shifts in the same spot, most visible on this one below.
After seeing the water reservoir, it makes sense how New York was founded by the Dutch.
So I’m basically in love with Fijifilm’s fp-100c instant film. Which is great, since it’s literally the only film made for this camera anymore (they discontinued the black and white last Autumn – I’m stocking up).
The first was an accident involving a malfunctioning film pack, but the resulting light leak is actually pretty cool. The other two are really cool effects made by Ashley, who draws inspiration from some recent Vivian Maier exhibits we’ve visited; they add to her unique brand of selfies.
Still working through the Polaroid Land Camera’s exposure compensation settings.
I know it’s hard to believe, but this photo doesn’t do it justice.
